Hi Juniors! It was good to talk to a few of you last week through TEAMS. As we finish Gatsby, I am moving you into our last two units of the school year. Details below...read everything!

I. The Great Gatsby Final Project (for Gatsby...not the semester)


A. List of major events

1. How many events? At least one per chapter, if not more...

2. Format - put the events in order as they appear in the novel.

3. Listed events SHOULD be the ones you plan to include in your project.

*Due Monday night by 11:59 P.M. to Turnitin.com.

II. Gatsby discussion - Zoom


A. Small Group Discussions: In small groups, you will work together to break down some of the themes and pivotal moments in the novel.


B. Sign Up: On SignUp Genius, choose a date and time in which to sign up.


1. Webcam required - You are required per administrative directive to turn on

your webcam during video school activities.

2. School appropriate dress and behavior required.

3. This is for a grade, so your attendance and contribution are required.

*Sign up by Tuesday, 4/28 at 11:50 P.M.


C. ZOOM link: I will email you the ZOOM link ONE HOUR prior to our meeting.

*Emails will be sent through Aeries, so check your school Outlook email if you have not yet registered your personal email there.



III. APRIL WARM UPS

All April Warm Ups will need to submit a document containing the following to Turnitin.com:

a. Topic as title

b. Link to video or article

c. background on the issue

d. 2 questions you would have asked the audience

e. Your answers to those questions - for each question, complete what your answer

would be.

*Submit to Turnitin.com by 11:59 P.M. on Thursday, 4/30


IV. MAY WARM UPS

All May Warm Ups will need to submit a document containing the following to Turnitin.com:

a. Topic as title

b. Link to video or article

c. background on the issue

d. 2 questions you would have asked the audience

e. Your answers to those questions - for each question, complete what your answer

would be.
