1. Hi Juniors! We are picking things up this week with some videos, a Zoom, and other great activities. While they will never replace our lively discussions or being together, hopefully they will continue your learning and keep us all inspired by one another.
   

2. WARM UPS Closure until April 20 leaves our Warm Ups in a bit of limbo. So, I am going to run Warm Ups on Microsoft TEAMS. This week, I am setting up our TEAMS pages, placing each of you on a small team for the next few weeks. We will host our Warm Ups and other discussions there. I will send out that information by Wednesday, 3/25.
   

3. ASSIGNMENTS 3-23 to 3-27

A. The Great Gatsby

1. On our class website, in the Gatsby section, complete the following:

a. Take notes on the Fitzgerald lesson - I have included a video with my lovely

voice over! It will not be there permanently, so you need to take notes on its

content and the information I add verbally. Any questions - bring to our

ZOOM.

b. Continue reading chapters 1-6

c. Look up the vocabulary words, listed on our website.

i. Vocab definitions + an original sentence for each due to Turnitin.com on

E. Great News - there's so much negative news out there, I decided we could use some

GREAT NEWS!

1. Find one current event/recent news that focuses on positive things happening in

the world. They can be in sports, pop culture, etc. Just something to show us how

humanity moves on and has light in all this darkness.

2. Post your current event/recent news summary to our Discussion Board in

Turnitin.com by Fri, 3/27

a. Discussion boards can be found under the "Discussion" menu tab.

3. DO NOT REPEAT - anyone before you has first dibs. Find a new topic.

4. Requirements

a. Post a summary of the great news.

b. Include an APA entry for the source from which you retrieved this

information.
